More Pics

This is a picture of Alyssa and Ambrey in their Christmas dresses that we traditionally get for them each year.
This is one of the first pictures that we took of Anna once she arrived home from the hospital.
Renee and Jayda flew all the way from Utah to see the new baby.

Janna and Anna at breakfast time in the hospital. If you look in the upper right hand corner you will see the bed that I slept in while they were in the hospital.

Renee got to be the first extended family member to hold Anna.

Today was Janna's birthday, and for her present she received:

A 7 pound, 1 ounce baby girl, who is 20 inches long, with what appears to be red hair.

School has Ended, Baby Begins

Schools out for winter! I cannot tell you how excited I am to have the first semester over. I have about one month off until next semester starts.

Janna gives birth in the morning. She is excited, but also nervous. Stay tuned for pictures, my goal is to get a few on the blog tomorrow.

Alyssa's New Glasses

For those who do not know, last week we discovered that Alyssa is nearsighted. After a trip to the optometrist Alyssa came away with a pretty new pair of pink glasses. The glasses also came with a hot pink carrying case (sorry, no picture). The most important thing though, is that she has told us that she can see the board at school better now. Alyssa also informed us that Janna's "lines are straighter" too.
What a pretty girl.

Happy Birthday!

Happy happy birthday Mother and Shannon dears, happy days will come to you for years. If I had one wish then it would be, a happy happy birthday from you to me! I mean to you from me.

A few quotes for the two mothers

"The sweetest sounds to mortals given
Are heard in Mother, Home, and Heaven."
~William Goldsmith Brown

Mother love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible. ~Marion C. Garretty, quoted in A Little Spoonful of Chicken Soup for the Mother's Soul

Biology is the least of what makes someone a mother. ~Oprah Winfrey

And a fun one just for Shannon:

Big sisters are the crab grass in the lawn of life. ~Charles M. Schulz
Ha, ha, ha. Just kidding. We love you!!!

Snow at last!
We woke up this morning to somewhere between six and eight inches of snow. This is the second time that it has snowed in the last two days, but yesterday it only snowed about an inch. The locals have told us to plan on not seeing our grass for the next five months.
